XRP Ledger activity has seen a significant uptick, with the number of active users surpassing 500,000 for the first time in weeks. This jump returns the network to levels considered hard to reach just a short time ago, and aligns with a broader increase in transaction volume across the platform.
Network growth highlights
Recent XRPL data shows that active users climbed to approximately 500,300, reflecting an increase of 187.1% over the measured period. This figure was achieved even as other network indicators remained weak. The number of newly created accounts on XRP Ledger fell by 34.6% to 1,400, while the count of active accounts declined by 26.9% to about 10,100.
This divergence suggests that increased usage by current participants, rather than widespread new account creation, is driving the latest surge in activity. Supporting this trend, successful transactions on XRP Ledger climbed 48.4% to reach roughly 1.5 million, while total transactions grew 36% to approximately 1.7 million.
Payments processed on the network jumped to 705,100, a 53.5% increase. Transaction density also rose, as the number of transactions per ledger expanded by 131.2% to 140.26, indicating significantly more activity within each closed ledger. However, the number of closed ledgers declined over the period.
Transaction patterns and trends
The interval between ledger closures lengthened slightly, rising 1.6% to 3.92 seconds, while the number of closed ledgers dropped 41.2% to 12,100. This sharp decline in closed ledgers helps explain the large leap in transactions per ledger compared to the overall transaction count.
Despite the impressive increase in activity, value-transfer indicators moderated some of the network’s gains. XRP burned in transaction fees sank 32.4% to 189.2 XRP, and payment volume decreased 17.8% to around 245.2 million XRP. The environment on XRP Ledger thus remains mixed but highly active, characterized by more users and transactions, fewer new accounts, and lower aggregate payment volume.
Network observers highlighted that while active users soared 187.1% to just over 500,000 and successful transactions reached 1.5 million, account creation and payment volume trended down, signaling existing account holders are driving the resurgence in activity.
Price performance and outlook
XRP has recently consolidated its price breakout after climbing from around $1.00 to a high near $1.70, now trading close to $1.40. The token remains above its long-term moving average at $1.35, and the relative strength index (RSI) stands at approximately 73, indicating strong momentum persists. If XRP maintains the $1.35 to $1.40 range, the breakout structure is expected to hold. A renewed move above $1.50 could open a path back to the recent $1.70 high.
As the broader digital asset sector evolves, traditional finance trends are increasingly reshaping blockchain usage. Instead of relying on complex intermediaries, many investors now turn to decentralized asset platforms. With Wall Street transitioning to Web3, platforms such as 1stepSwap enable investors to hold shares of major U.S. companies, gold, and silver directly in their crypto wallets. By tokenizing real-world assets and rapidly sourcing optimal pricing, these tools aim to eliminate middlemen and streamline access to traditional assets on-chain.
