BlackRock’s IBIT leads inflows, rivals see outflows

According to data from Farside Investors, the positive run for US spot Bitcoin ETFs began on August 17 and has now drawn approximately $3.04 billion in total net inflows over this period. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) stood out as the top-performing fund on Thursday, recording net inflows of $277.6 million—outpacing the day’s industry-wide total due to outflows from several competitors.

By contrast, Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) experienced the largest daily withdrawal among major providers, with $83.6 million exiting the fund. Grayscale’s Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) also saw $27.2 million in outflows. Ark Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB pulled in $29.7 million, while Bitwise’s BITB attracted $21.7 million in new capital.

Grayscale’s lower-fee Bitcoin Mini Trust brought in $11.7 million on the same day, adding to the diverse mix of inflow and outflow activity across competing products. These divergent results highlight ongoing shifts in investor preferences within the highly competitive Bitcoin ETF landscape.

Persistent inflows to spot Bitcoin ETFs have continued, with BlackRock’s IBIT leading Thursday’s surge and pushing the group’s streak to nine straight trading sessions and over $3 billion in net new capital since mid-August.

August emerges as a strong month for Bitcoin ETF flows

The latest inflow figures follow several strong daily results: $232.2 million on August 26, $314.3 million on August 25, and $337.6 million on August 24. With these totals, August has become one of 2026’s most active months for US spot Bitcoin ETF inflows to date.

Despite the heavy flow of new funds into ETFs, Bitcoin’s spot price has continued to show near-term volatility. The cryptocurrency climbed above $81,000 during the past 24 hours, reached as high as $81,280, and then reversed to trade near $79,074. This marks a pullback of about 1.34% over the previous 24-hour period, data from CoinCodex revealed.

Market volatility ahead of Jackson Hole speech

Bitcoin’s price action comes as global attention turns to an upcoming speech by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium. Market participants are watching closely for indications on future US interest rate policy, which has historically influenced crypto market sentiment.

Despite the recent price pullback, Bitcoin remains up by roughly 2% over the past week, reflecting underlying bullish momentum even as traders brace for potential macroeconomic shifts.

With rapid moves following macro events and listing announcements, efficient monitoring tools have become essential for investors navigating frequent market swings and volatility. In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, jumping between different apps for charts, news, and portfolio tracking is costing investors money. Smart traders are now utilizing privacy-first tools like CryptoAppsy to consolidate everything. Without even the hassle of creating an account, you get real-time charts, smart price alerts, coin-specific news, and critical macro data all on one screen.
