Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Rakuten Wallet has announced a SHIB-themed giveaway for its upcoming investment seminar in November, offering physical commemorative coins to SHIB holders who attend the event.
Seminar details and participation
The investment seminar is set to take place on November 3, a public holiday in Japan. Rakuten Wallet expects to draw investors interested in Shiba Inu and other digital assets. The event will be organized by Rakuten Securities, with Rakuten Wallet operating its own booth on site.
Matsuda, Senior Analyst at Rakuten, is scheduled to speak at the seminar following his previous appearance in October. This continued involvement underscores Rakuten’s ongoing engagement with the SHIB community in Japan.
To participate in the giveaway, attendees must present a screen within the Rakuten Wallet application confirming their SHIB holdings to the exchange’s staff at the booth. Rakuten Wallet indicated that all who meet this requirement will receive a giveaway item, with no stated exceptions.
Physical SHIB coins and previous events
The commemorative SHIB coins being distributed are physical metal souvenirs and do not have a technical link to the Shiba Inu blockchain. Rakuten Wallet first launched these coins earlier this year, introducing what it described as the world’s first physical Shiba Inu coin featuring a sandblasted—also known as blast finish—design.
In July 2026, Rakuten Wallet became the first entity to use this particular finish in minting SHIB coins. The tokens serve purely as collector’s items with no cryptocurrency value.
Similar giveaways have taken place before: Rakuten Wallet previously distributed physical ‘Shib coins’ at its Fukuoka seminar and confirmed plans to hold comparable events in Sapporo and Osaka in October.
Rakuten Wallet’s repeated initiatives highlight its ongoing support for Shiba Inu, which it added to its trading offerings in April of this year.

Monitoring price trends and investor timing offers crucial insight, particularly in the meme token segment, where internet-driven trends can generate rapid and significant shifts in market capitalization. Fomo App data cited a notable case where a $99 investment in “Niu Lai” ballooned to approximately $370,000, highlighting how closely tracking investor behavior and token discovery can impact results. Fomo App integrates trading, social feeds, trade notifications, and investor rankings into a single platform for users tracking meme token activity.
