XRP is trading at $1.30, having declined 2.26% as broad losses persist across the cryptocurrency market. Crypto analyst Austin Hilton has drawn attention to a technical setup that, according to him, has historically signaled major price moves in XRP whenever certain chart conditions are met.
Technical signals under review
Hilton outlined a specific indicator on XRP’s chart that issues a green dot when a wave component drops below a white line. He pointed out that this green dot signal has reliably appeared ahead of significant XRP rallies in recent years.
Reviewing past instances, Hilton stated that a green dot formation preceded a 194% surge in XRP within just 12 days in August. He highlighted two other notable occurrences, which resulted in gains of 124% over 10 days and 101% over 11 days. In addition, he recalled an earlier case where XRP jumped approximately 83% in 12 days after the indicator flashed the signal.
Hilton indicated that all recent green dot signals on this chart have produced moves of over 100% shortly after confirmation, reinforcing his belief in the pattern’s reliability on XRP.
Present consolidation and potential breakout
Since late August, Hilton observed that XRP has entered a consolidation phase and recently slipped below a support level at $1.32. He noted that the technical indicator’s blue wave is now moving underneath the white reference line, a condition that previously led up to the green dot’s appearance.
However, Hilton clarified that the key buy signal has not yet materialized. He stressed that the chart setup is only in the initial stage, describing the current price action as typical of periods before a potential breakout. Hilton continues monitoring for a confirmed green dot below the white line as a possible trigger for entering a position.
He often references the alignment of price weakness and consolidation as a setup that matches those which preceded prior major upswings, but emphasizes that without the green dot, the opportunity remains unconfirmed.
Awaiting confirmation before acting
Hilton distinguishes this period from earlier chart formations where the indicator approached but did not cross beneath the white line; only true crossings generated the historical buy signal. He advises patience, stating that he is following the lower right section of the chart and looking for full confirmation before acting.
In this context, he maintains that his outlook is based on prior indicator performance rather than external sentiment or news. Hilton reiterates that confirmation always happens after the technical criteria are fully satisfied and is waiting for this explicit indicator before moving forward.
Meme token trading and the importance of timing
Beyond XRP’s price movements, close observation of investor timing and token selection is becoming vital in the wider crypto environment. In the meme token market, internet trends can quickly turn into millions of dollars in activity. Data from Fomo App shows one trade in “Niu Lai” where a $99 investment escalated to about $370,000, illustrating this rapid transformation. Fomo App facilitates token discovery and trading in one place, featuring social feeds, investor rankings, and trade alerts. Such tools are gaining relevance as traders look to monitor both price and strategic activity in fast-moving markets.
