Digital Asset Investor, a well-known commentator in the cryptocurrency space, stated that a significant XRP repricing event is approaching, describing the current environment as the most bullish he has ever seen for the asset.
Ripple National Trust Bank receives federal approval
Ripple recently secured final approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to launch Ripple National Trust Bank. This federal charter allows Ripple to offer custody services for digital assets and manage the reserves backing RLUSD, its U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin.
With this approval, Ripple becomes one of the few native crypto companies in the United States to operate under a federally chartered banking structure. This move addresses previous regulatory uncertainties that had deterred institutional clients from utilizing Ripple’s suite of products. Now, with federal oversight, institutions are expected to engage more confidently with Ripple’s platforms.

XRP analysts see “repricing” and upside potential
The optimism from Digital Asset Investor follows commentary from Crypto Bitlord, another high-profile figure in the digital asset sector. Crypto Bitlord labeled XRP as “insanely undervalued” at $1.30 and forecast a “huge repricing event,” referencing the sharp increase seen during XRP’s 2017 rally as a precedent for rapid change.
In response, Digital Asset Investor agreed that market dynamics can shift unexpectedly. Drawing from experience in previous cycles, he stated that “things change very fast” in crypto markets, and he is confident in the current analysis pointing to a major price shift for XRP.
“There has never been even bordering on as many positive developments that will affect XRP’s price. Today he’s right. I was there in 2017, 2018. Things change very fast in this.”
Federal charter’s impact on RLUSD and XRP Ledger
Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin operates natively on the XRP Ledger and serves as collateral within Ripple Prime, the company’s brokerage offering. As RLUSD adoption increases, transaction volume on the XRP Ledger is expected to rise, directly benefiting XRP as the platform’s native digital asset.
The federal oversight provided by the OCC boosts institutional confidence in RLUSD and Ripple’s services. Since the beginning of 2026, RLUSD’s market capitalization has more than doubled to $2.6 billion. Additionally, financial institutions worldwide have continued to adopt Ripple’s payment infrastructure, expanding the company’s reach.
This convergence of regulatory clarity, institutional partnerships, and stablecoin growth has fueled expectations among analysts that XRP may be trading at a significant discount to its future potential. While XRP traded at $1.30, market observers argue that the regulatory milestone of securing a bank charter provides solid grounds for future price appreciation.
Analysts continue to describe XRP at current levels as offering a “real discount window,” highlighting how the bank charter brings confirmed regulatory backing to the asset.
