In the past 24 hours, XRP has recorded a 4.5% increase in value, successfully surpassing the $0.5 resistance and becoming the leading cryptocurrency in terms of growth within the same period. According to CoinMarketCap (CMC) data, XRP has earned its place among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, recording the highest rate of value increase in the last 24 hours.
The Crypto Market on the Upswing
Leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) started the new week on a bullish note, beginning to trade from the $28,000 price levels following its recent value increases. The cryptocurrency market entered an upswing due to these value increases in Bitcoin. Ethereum (ETH), after its latest increases, started trading from $1915 price levels. The total market capitalization of the crypto ecosystem reached $1.16 trillion according to CMC data. In addition, Coinglass data indicates that an average of $50 million worth of short and long positions was liquidated in the last 24 hours.
Benefiting from the overall upward trend in the cryptocurrency market, XRP sped up its value increase, capturing a strong upward momentum within the day and once again surpassing the $0.5 resistance.
XRP Breaks Critical Resistance
Most altcoins in the cryptocurrency market began the week on a bullish trend in line with Bitcoin’s positive momentum. Gaining pace since the morning, XRP led the high-market-value cryptocurrencies in terms of daily increase and recorded a 4.5% increase in value over the last 24 hours.
With these recent upticks, XRP broke the critical $0.5 resistance. According to CMC data, it was among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization that recorded the highest value increases in the last 24 hours.
