The cryptocurrency market started the first day of the weekend with low volatility as the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin consolidated at around $25,800. Most altcoins in the cryptocurrency market have experienced value increases at various rates since the morning.
With its recent price movements, Ethereum (ETH) has started trading at $1,630. The total market value of the cryptocurrency ecosystem has reached $1.04 trillion, according to CoinMarketCap (CMC) data.
The volatility in the cryptocurrency market has also shown a downward trend during the day. According to Coinglass data, a total of $15 million worth of short and long positions were liquidated in the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours.
XRP Surpasses $0.50 Levels
XRP, which witnessed a significant drop in mid-August, experienced a loss of over 20% in the last month. After experiencing a loss of over 20% in the last month, XRP gained a downward momentum during this period.
Since the beginning of the week, XRP has been fluctuating between $0.49 and $0.51. Although it has dropped below $0.50 several times in recent days, it quickly rebounded and surpassed $0.50 levels. According to CMC data, XRP has recorded an average low-rate value increase of around 0.5% in the last 24 hours and started trading at $0.50, making it the second highest-gaining cryptocurrency among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
