Most altcoins in the cryptocurrency market started the day with a decline and have accelerated their losses since the morning hours.
Ethereum (ETH) fell below the $1,600 support level it has been testing for weeks and started trading at around $1,575 with its recent price movements. The total market value of the crypto industry also dropped to $1.03 trillion, according to CoinMarketCap (CMC) data.
Altcoin Defies the Downtrend and Gains Momentum
The decline in the value of high-market-cap cryptocurrencies has significantly increased the volatility in the cryptocurrency market. According to Coinglass data, the cryptocurrency market saw an average of $185 million worth of short and long positions liquidated within the last 24 hours.
However, despite the decline in most altcoins and the loss of value in BTC, there were also cryptocurrencies that continued to rise and stand out in the market. Trust Wallet Token (TWT) recorded an average increase of 6.85% in the last 24 hours, reaching levels of $0.82 during the day, according to CMC data.
TWT, which recorded a value increase of nearly 7% in the last 24 hours, started trading at around $0.79 with its recent price movements. In addition, with its recent value increases, Trust Wallet Token (TWT) ranked first among the top 100 cryptocurrencies with the highest market capitalization and the highest percentage increase in the last 24 hours, according to CMC data.
