We have seen that the increase in circulating supply directly affects and has significant consequences on the price of altcoins. As the circulating supply rapidly increases, if there is no greater demand from investors, prices naturally decline. So, which altcoins will see an increase in circulating supply in the coming days?
Aptos (APT) Unlock
On June 12, an additional 11.3 million APT Coin will enter circulation. Considering the current circulating supply is 437.9 million, the figure is not negligible. Born as the Solana killer, APTOS has a rapidly increasing circulating supply due to the intense interest and support from venture capital firms. The new circulating supply will be distributed among investors, the foundation, and developers.
Immutable (IMX) Unlock
Immutable is one of the scaling solutions for the largest blockchain, Ethereum. It received over $200 million in investments from companies like ParaFi Capital, Declaration Partners, and Tencent Holdings. On June 14, the circulating supply of IMX will increase by another 25.5 million. These tokens, allocated for ecosystem development, may not have a significant negative impact given the total circulating supply is around $11.5 billion.
Cyber (CYBER) and Starknet (STRK)
On June 14 and 15, we will see the unlocks for these two. CYBER Coin will add 886,000 new tokens to its 22.3 million circulating supply. Cyber (formerly CyberConnect) is one of the SocialFi initiatives on the BNB Chain. It aims to create social bonds between users and projects. The unlock represents 4% of the circulating supply.
STRK Coin was one of the most anticipated airdrops. The popular Ethereum layer-2 solution has a strong community worldwide. The ZK-Rollup Layer-2 solution will release 64 million tokens on June 15. The current circulating supply is at 1.3 billion.
Arbitrum (ARB)
The last major unlock of the week will be for Arbitrum on June 16. ARB Coin with a circulating supply of 2.9 billion will increase by another 92.6 million. Tokens distributed for the team and advisors may increase the supply on exchanges. Besides these altcoins, there will be an additional $232 million worth of altcoin unlocks, increasing the circulating supply of altcoins like Moonbeam (GLMR), dYdX (DYDX), and Render (RNDR).
