Ethereum has entered a crucial phase after confirming a key break of structure, according to analyst Qmo. The analyst indicated that Ethereum completed its downtrend breakout and successful retest, positioning the price within a significant demand zone. This consolidation is described as the second stage of a five-step technical sequence that market participants have tracked for months.

Technical breakout and next targets

Qmo noted that Ethereum’s initial breakout and retest supported the shift in the trend. The price is now absorbing liquidity and forming a base in the demand zone, setting the groundwork for potential upward moves. The next projected price range lies between $2,200 and $2,400.

If bullish momentum strengthens, Qmo expects possible expansions first towards $3,000 and eventually above $4,000. However, these numbers remain hypothetical as long as Ethereum stays within its current structure. The analyst emphasized that only a firm move out of the consolidation zone would validate targets beyond the present level.

Ethereum continues to consolidate in a crucial demand zone following its technical break of structure, with projections targeting $2,200 to $2,400 as the immediate resistance zone—yet this move must hold and overcome the demand region before traders consider higher objectives.

Qmo also observed that Ethereum has shown a similar breakout in past cycles ahead of liquidity shifting toward major altcoins. The formation holds importance for the wider crypto market, as sustaining this trend could set off broader sectoral moves.

Impact of legislation and liquidity positioning

Analyst Ted, in a separate analysis, pointed out notable liquidity pools both above and below the current Ethereum price. He identified the CLARITY Act as a significant catalyst that might prompt Ethereum’s next substantial price movement.

If the CLARITY Act is approved, Ted warned that short positions could be at elevated risk. On the contrary, failure of the legislation could trigger a retracement towards $1,500. According to Ted, “The next move will be entirely dependent on the CLARITY Act. If that approves, shorts are in trouble. If not, Ethereum might revisit $1,500 again.”

Monitoring market movements and technical levels remains essential for traders navigating this uncertainty. While drawing strategic insights from technical indicators such as consolidation ranges and key support points, digital asset traders can consider integrated tools that bridge the gap between crypto and traditional assets. One such option is 1stepSwap, which brings real-world assets like US company shares and commodities directly onto the blockchain, allowing portfolio diversification through the wallet interface and access to the best available market prices instantly.

Long-term projections and historical cycles

Crypto Patel referenced Ethereum’s past four-year cycles to provide a broader perspective. His analysis compared current price actions with those seen before the significant rallies and corrections around the 2017 and 2021 cycle highs.

He identified $1,000 to $1,350 as Ethereum’s primary support range, suggesting that holding above these levels preserves the possibility of a larger bullish trend. However, he clarified that this would not confirm a major price surge on its own.

According to Patel, Ethereum must reclaim its resistance near $3,945 before any future all-time highs become realistic. Further, he outlined a long-term view with $10,000 as a significant milestone and a potential cycle peak in the range of $16,000 to $22,500 during 2026 or 2027, assuming the asset replicates its historical performance.

Before Ethereum can target long-term highs, analysts agree it must overcome resistance at $3,945 and set new support levels, echoing similar cycles observed in past years.
