Ethereum has confirmed a technical break of structure following a successful breakout from its recent downtrend and a subsequent retest, according to analyst Qmo. The cryptocurrency is now consolidating within a demand zone—a stage characterized by sideways price action—before any potential move towards higher levels.

Key technical levels and price outlook

Qmo identified this consolidation as the second phase in a five-step sequence. The analyst indicated that should Ethereum maintain its current market structure and exit the demand zone, the price could move toward the $2,200 to $2,400 range. Continuation beyond that level may open the path to $3,000, and possibly trigger an advance above $4,000, though these targets remain projections based on technical patterns that require further confirmation.

Qmo stated that the initial breakout is complete and emphasized, “The chart is now consolidating inside a demand zone, which is a crucial phase before Ethereum can attempt the next upward move.”

He also noted that similar breakouts in Ethereum’s past have sometimes preceded a shift of liquidity from ETH into other significant altcoins, which could potentially fuel broader crypto market momentum if the current structure proves durable.

Impact of the Clarity Act on ETH price

Analyst Ted addressed the presence of strong liquidity pools situated above and below the current market, leaving Ethereum with the potential for sharp moves in either direction. He identified the US legislative proposal known as the Clarity Act as a critical factor: approval could put pressure on bearish bets, while failure might see ETH revisit the $1,500 region.

Ted observed, “$ETH has decent liquidity clusters both to the upside and downside. The next move will be entirely dependent on the Clarity Act. If that approves, shorts are in trouble. If not, Ethereum might revisit $1,500 again.”

The Clarity Act is a proposed US law intended to provide clearer regulatory guidelines for digital assets, which many market participants see as a potential catalyst for substantial price moves in major cryptocurrencies including Ethereum.

Mini dictionary: Clarity Act, a draft bill in the US aiming to establish precise definitions and legal classifications for digital assets, with the aim of reducing uncertainty for crypto issuers, traders, and investors.

Cycle analysis and long-term projections

Crypto Patel provided a longer-term analysis based on Ethereum’s historical four-year cycles. The analyst compared the current structure with previous periods marked by accumulation, rallies, and corrections prior to the 2017 and 2021 cycle peaks.

He regards the $1,000 to $1,350 range as Ethereum’s primary support zone; maintaining this area could keep the long-term bullish scenario in play, though it does not guarantee an uptrend. Patel argued that for higher targets to become viable, Ethereum must first overcome resistance near $3,945, then achieve a new all-time high and build support above that threshold.

ScenarioKey Level/TargetCondition
Short-term Upside$2,200–$2,400Consolidation exit from demand zone
Medium-term Bullish$3,000–$4,000+Continued confirmation of structure
Downside Risk$1,500Clarity Act not approved, liquidity pools tapped
Long-term Target$10,000 to $22,500New all-time high, cycle repeat into 2026–2027

For the longer term, Patel’s projections place a target of $10,000 for Ethereum, with a potential cycle peak between approximately $16,000 and $22,500 during 2026 or 2027, provided historical cycle patterns are repeated.
