Arc’s stablecoin supply expanded sharply over the past week, increasing 33.51% to reach approximately $830.34 million, according to DefiLlama data. This surge stands in contrast to a slight contraction in the total global stablecoin supply, which declined by $1.25 billion during the same period to roughly $304.89 billion.

USDC Drives Arc’s Growth

Almost all of the stablecoin supply on Arc comes from Circle’s USDC, which alone accounts for around $821 million. This figure represents nearly 98.9% of Arc’s total stablecoin float, marking a weekly gain of around 34% for USDC on this network. Small amounts of euro and sterling-pegged tokens are also present, but their contributions remain marginal.

Globally, Tether (USDT) continues to lead with about $182.51 billion in circulation, making up 59.86% of the total stablecoin market. USDC follows as the second-largest player with approximately $72.10 billion. Despite Arc’s robust growth, the overall market trend points to a net decrease in stablecoin supply, reflecting broader shifts in capital allocation and market sentiment.

Arc’s rapid expansion does not signal a broad recovery across all blockchains. Rather, the data show a significant migration of USDC liquidity specifically toward Arc, with other chains not experiencing similar inflows.

Arc’s Role and Technical Positioning

Arc serves as Circle’s open Layer-1 blockchain, promoted as an enterprise-focused, EVM-compatible network designed for stablecoin settlement. Circle introduced Arc with the intention of providing predictable transaction fees denominated in stablecoins like USDC, rather than volatile native tokens. The network targets institutional and enterprise use, setting itself apart from chains with larger or more generalized user bases.

The recent spike in Arc’s stablecoin balance largely reflects increased USDC activity. This pattern indicates participants are choosing to hold, transfer, or deploy USDC on Arc rather than on competing platforms. The week’s strong inflows do not alter the primary ranking of stablecoin assets between networks: Arc still trails behind blockchains such as Ethereum and Tron, which maintain multi-billion dollar stables reserves.

Liquidity Migration and Market Dynamics

The decline in global stablecoin supply, coupled with Arc’s outsized weekly gain, underlines a localized shift in liquidity rather than a market-wide rally. Factors such as redemption flows, portfolio rebalancing, or quieter inventory reductions may have contributed to the overall market contraction. Meanwhile, Arc’s segment saw an abrupt concentration of USDC, reinforcing the network’s role as a focused stablecoin hub.

Potential explanations for Arc’s stablecoin surge include fresh issuances and bridging of USDC, internal treasury reallocations by Circle, or other non-public capital moves. However, public float tables reveal only the outcome—more USDC now resides on Arc than seven days ago.

Tracking such liquidity movements remains essential for market participants and observers. Following both pricing trends and investor behavior can offer valuable insights for asset allocation and project development strategies.

In light of the increased emphasis on monitoring stablecoin deployment and asset flows, the meme token segment also serves as an example of rapid changes driven by internet trends. In this area, a low-barrier trade can evolve into substantial profit within days. Fomo App data highlight a remarkable case where the “Niu Lai” meme token turned a $99 initial investment into $370,000. For those navigating meme token volatility, observing not just price action but investor timing and token selection is vital. Fomo App consolidates token discovery, trading, social feeds, investor rankings, and trade alerts into one interface, helping users stay updated on both token moves and investor activity.

Arc float is up sharply. USDC dominates that balance. The broader market is slightly smaller than it was a week ago.

The fundamental stability question for pegged tokens remains unchanged. This week, however, attention has focused on which blockchain networks are holding the largest share of circulating stablecoins.
