Last night, the price of Bitcoin surged above $69,000, drawing all eyes to it before a sharp sell-off brought it down to $59,000 momentarily. However, it has since recovered and is trading around $65,700 at the time of writing. Meanwhile, Binance continues to make uninterrupted moves, having recently informed users about an airdrop.
Binance and Airdrop Announcement
According to a blog post published in the last few hours, Binance shared significant news with its users. Binance, which has been attracting attention with its launchpools, made a critical move concerning one of its launchpool tokens, PIXEL, announcing that the PIXEL airdrop for users who locked RONIN has been completed. The announcement was as follows.
Dear Binancians,
Binance Earn has completed the Pixels (PIXEL) airdrop for eligible users of RONIN Locked Products. Users can confirm receipt of these tokens through the Airdrop Portal.
Snapshot Details:
A snapshot of the total subscription amount of RONIN Locked Products was taken on 2024-02-08 at 23:59 (UTC).
Please Note:
Only verified users who had at least one RONIN Locked Product position containing at least 1 RONIN at the snapshot time and are certain that their Binance account was not inactive or restricted can participate in the PIXEL airdrop.
For more information about the Pixels (PIXEL) airdrop rewards per eligible user, please refer to the previous announcement. Users should ensure they do not select the “Hide Small Balances” option to view their Pixels (PIXEL) token balances in the Spot Wallet.
RONIN and PIXEL Prices
Following the announcement, RONIN did not show a positive price movement, possibly due to Bitcoin‘s decline, and was trading at $2.75, down 5.2% in the last 24 hours at the time of writing.
RONIN’s market capitalization also fell by more than 5%, down to $829 million. On the other hand, its trading volume increased by 20% to $74 million. This increase in trading volume could be interpreted as users selling off the altcoin following the announcement.
Contrary to RONIN, PIXEL’s price increased following the news. PIXEL was trading above $0.56, up more than 6% in the last 24 hours. PIXEL’s trading volume in the last 24 hours also rose by 86%, surpassing $250 million.
