Binance has announced an important initiative in line with Aragon’s (ANT) recent decision, allowing ANT token holders to exchange their assets for Ethereum (ETH) $1,979. According to the official statement made on October 24, the Aragon Foundation will use a significant portion of its treasury to provide ANT holders the opportunity to swap their tokens for ETH at a fixed rate. This fixed rate has been set at 0.0025376 ETH/ANT.
Deadline is October 28, 2024
Starting from October 28, 2024, Binance will initiate this process on behalf of users. The balances of ANT holders will be removed from their accounts as of 07:59 Turkish time (TRT). The corresponding Ethereum amounts will be credited to their accounts by November 9, 2024.
Binance also emphasized that users who do not wish to participate in this process need to withdraw their ANT coins before 07:59 on October 28, 2024. After this time, ANT withdrawals will be disabled, and users will not be able to transfer their coins to a wallet outside of Binance. Likewise, ANT deposit operations will no longer be supported, and such transactions will not reflect in the user’s account.
Users Can Choose Between Coin Withdrawal or ETH Refund
Users must choose between withdrawing their coins or receiving ETH at the fixed rate. After the completion of the process, users will be able to see their Ethereum balances in their accounts.
The Aragon Foundation’s step offers ANT holders the opportunity to convert their coins to ETH at a specific rate. The fixed rate is set at 0.0025376 ETH/ANT. The amount calculated based on this rate will be transferred to the user’s account in place of the returned coins.
