Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced that it will conduct wallet maintenance on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network on April 17, 2025. According to the official announcement, the maintenance will begin at 09:00 GMT and is expected to last for approximately one hour. During this period, users will temporarily be unable to deposit or withdraw funds through the BNB Smart Chain network. However, trading activities for cryptocurrencies on the same network will not be affected.
Temporary Suspension of Deposit and Withdrawal Transactions
The announcement from Binance indicated that the technical maintenance process for wallets on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) will commence in the morning hours of April 17, 2025. Deposit and withdrawal transactions will be temporarily disabled five minutes before the maintenance starts, at 08:55 GMT. This action is aimed at protecting user funds and ensuring the smooth operation of the systems.

The exchange anticipates that the maintenance process will last around one hour. Users will not need to perform any manual operations during this time. Binance stated that it will handle all technical aspects and will resume deposit and withdrawal transactions at the end of the process. Once the network stabilizes, operations will automatically restart, and no additional announcement will be made regarding this matter.
Trading Activities Will Continue Uninterrupted
While the maintenance process exclusively affects deposit and withdrawal transactions, trading activities will proceed without interruption. Users will still be able to trade cryptocurrencies compliant with the BEP20 standard.
To avoid negatively impacting user experience, Binance typically schedules such maintenance during low-traffic hours. Additionally, it is noted that no further announcement will be made regarding the resumption of transactions after the network stabilizes. Therefore, users may find it beneficial to plan their deposit or withdrawal activities accordingly.
