Mark Yusko, the co-founder and CEO of Morgan Creek Digital, is optimistic about the future of Bitcoin (BTC) and predicts that its price could reach six figures. The prominent figure has expressed his belief that the largest cryptocurrency could easily surge by over 800%.
Prediction of Over 880% Increase in Bitcoin
During a recent interview, Mark Yusko, the co-founder and CEO of Morgan Creek Digital, compared Bitcoin to the precious metal gold. He stated that if the market value of Bitcoin equals that of gold, the potential price could reach $300,000.
Yusko’s price prediction implies a staggering increase of 887% for Bitcoin, which is currently priced around $30,000.
Yusko believes that Bitcoin’s role as digital gold and its superior features as a store of value, currency, and ease of transfer make it an attractive asset compared to traditional gold. He also added that its ability to be easily divided and electronically transferred separates it from physical gold, making it a more efficient and valuable currency.
No Specific Date for the $300,000 Prediction
When asked for a specific date for Bitcoin to reach $300,000, Yusko avoided giving a definite answer and stated that it would happen “in the future.” Emphasizing Bitcoin’s potential to surpass the market value of gold, he confidently stated that the $300,000 price prediction would be easily achieved.
Speculations about the future price of Bitcoin continue to attract attention in the cryptocurrency community, as it currently trades at $29,818 after a 0.60% decrease in the past 24 hours.
