Bitcoin struggles with profit-taking and price volatility

Bitcoin’s price action remained volatile during the session. After trading above $86,600 earlier in the day, the cryptocurrency slipped to below $84,000. By the end of the session, CoinGecko data indicated that BTC was changing hands at $83,971, representing a 2.1% decline over the past 24 hours.

Market analysts observed increased profit-taking among traders, which put additional strain on Bitcoin’s recovery efforts. MorenoDV, a contributor at CryptoQuant, pointed out that the current BTC price maintains a substantial premium over the estimated $68,900 cost basis held by active traders. According to MorenoDV, whether the recovery continues will heavily depend on sustained new demand capable of absorbing the heightened selling pressure.

Bitcoin’s recent gains have encouraged profit-taking, with prices well above the average cost of active traders. The path forward may hinge on the market’s ability to attract new buyers willing to absorb this selling activity.

Ether ETFs face intensified outflows

While Bitcoin ETFs staged a turnaround, Ether-related ETFs extended their losing streak, marking six consecutive trading sessions of outflows. Ether ETF outflows hit $202 million on Tuesday, a steep rise from the previous day’s $51 million. This brought the total net outflows over the past six sessions to approximately $408 million.

Other cryptocurrency ETFs posted mixed results. XRP ETFs attracted $3.1 million in inflows, while Solana (SOL) ETFs saw net outflows of $3.7 million. Zcash (ZEC) ETFs recorded no net flows for the day, following outflows during the two previous sessions.

Across the broader market, Ether ETFs are experiencing escalating sell-offs, signaling heightened uncertainty or repositioning among institutional investors. Meanwhile, smaller altcoin ETFs continue to show varied performances.

Market monitoring tools see broader adoption

In a market where a single decision by the Federal Reserve or a sudden altcoin listing can dramatically alter dynamics in seconds, investors are increasingly relying on integrated monitoring solutions. Smart traders are turning to privacy-first apps such as CryptoAppsy to centralize their trading activities. These platforms offer instant access to real-time charts, smart price alerts, coin-specific news, and macroeconomic indicators, all without requiring an account and accessible on one screen. Many believe this trend addresses inefficiencies caused by switching between multiple apps during volatile sessions.
