The price of BTC is currently at $37,335. Watching it be $20,000 higher than it was about a year ago, when it lost $17,500, is exciting. We have seen how bankruptcies have led to massive chaos in the crypto market with FTX, Celsius, LUNA, 3AC, and Voyager. But what will happen next?
Popular crypto commentator Poppe says that the price could increase by about 50% in the near future.
“We witnessed a year-long bear market. We witnessed a year of accumulation. And now we are entering the first year of the bull cycle (the purple one), which likely means the highest level will be around $50,000 to $55,000.”
BTC and Altcoin Analysis
Looking at the chart, the famous crypto analyst talks about a four-year cycle. This four-year cycle consists of bear market, accumulation, first bull phase, and ATH bull phase. Assuming we are currently in the first bull phase, we can see that the king of cryptocurrency reached a new all-time high in 2025.
Poppe also said that since the bear market for Bitcoin has ended, impressive rallies in altcoins will inevitably begin.
“Furthermore, we will experience a period where altcoins start to wake up significantly before breaking their all-time highs. I call this the second bull phase. So we will see that altcoins perform really well. We will see more momentum, like what we have seen in Chainlink and some other altcoins.”
According to the analyst, the continued closures above the 200-week EMA for Bitcoin and surpassing the $28,000 mark indicate that we are now in a bull market.
