The exchange was once one of the largest exchanges in the United States and had a market share of about 23% in 2018. The exchange filed for bankruptcy in May of this year.

In a statement released by the exchange, it was announced that the decision to terminate operations, effective from December 4, 2023, was met with great sadness. Bittrex also outlined the steps that will be taken to ensure a smooth closure process. According to the announcement, the exchange will suspend all trading activities on Bittrex Global starting from December 4, 2023.
While the announcement indicates the end of active trading, customers will have the opportunity to withdraw their assets as part of the liquidation process. The exchange emphasized that all funds and tokens of users will remain safe on the platform and can be withdrawn in accordance with applicable laws and terms of service.
Emergency Actions Announced for Users
The exchange also provided details on the actions that customers need to take. Customers with USD balances were reminded to convert them to EUR or cryptocurrency before December 4th, Monday, to facilitate the withdrawal of the respective funds. On the other hand, it was stated that the referral program has been terminated and rewards earned until November 19, 2023, will be paid in the coming days.
It was emphasized that all promotions have ended and transactions are now subject to the standard Bittrex Global fee schedule. The exchange also requested customers to refrain from making new deposits to the platform. Regarding withdrawals, the exchange advised users to make them immediately, without specifying a deadline.
