US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a robust turnaround on Monday, recording net inflows of $526.7 million following a period marked by significant withdrawals. The influx of new capital was driven largely by BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which brought in $665.2 million during the session. Meanwhile, Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) reported outflows totaling $83.6 million.
Institutional flows reverse following withdrawals
Recent ETF data highlighted a shift in investor sentiment after consecutive sessions of outflows. Prior to Monday’s surge, US spot Bitcoin ETFs posted net withdrawals of $82.4 million on October 16 and $261.4 million on October 14. The renewed inflows suggest a potential revival of institutional interest in Bitcoin exposure after a turbulent stretch in the market.
Grayscale’s GBTC continued to experience losses, as the fund recorded $54.9 million in withdrawals. This left BlackRock as the only major provider to see positive flows during the session, underscoring its growing influence within the sector.
The latest figures indicate BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust was the primary driver behind Monday’s net gains, helping to break the recent trend of ETF outflows and signaling renewed confidence among some institutional investors.
While the institutional landscape appears to be stabilizing, analysts are watching closely to see whether this shift reflects a sustainable trend or a short-term reaction to market volatility.
Bitcoin price movement remains under pressure
Despite the substantial inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, BTC’s price action has yet to confirm a lasting upward breakout. On Monday, Bitcoin reached a session high of approximately $83,117 before pulling back and closing near $81,924. By Tuesday, the cryptocurrency traded around $81,564, reflecting ongoing uncertainty among traders.
The discrepancy between strong ETF inflows and sluggish price momentum has raised questions about whether renewed ETF demand will be sufficient to propel Bitcoin beyond current resistance levels. Market participants are closely monitoring both asset flows and technical indicators for future direction.
Continued inflows from major institutions such as BlackRock could serve as a catalyst for broader market recovery, but the persistence of selling pressure highlights the cautious sentiment prevailing among investors.
Meme token sector activity and market tracking
Closely observing market developments and timing has become increasingly important across the crypto landscape, particularly in the meme token market. An internet-driven narrative can translate into millions of dollars of turnover within days. Data from Fomo App drew attention to a striking trade involving “Niu Lai,” where an initial $99 investment soared to approximately $370,000.
Tracking not only prices, but also investor activity, token choices, and timing, is critical in these rapidly evolving markets. Fomo App consolidates token discovery and trading, offering a unique platform with social feeds, investor rankings, and trade notifications for those aiming to stay ahead in the meme token sector.
The broader crypto community will be closely monitoring these trends to understand the interplay between ETF inflows, spot price action, and alternative token dynamics in the coming sessions.
