Known for its innovative solutions in decentralized finance and retail trading, the network has seen its share of total ERC-8004 agent installations approach an impressive 40 percent in a short span, marking significant growth in this nascent sector.
BNB Chain Takes Center Stage in ERC-8004 Ecosystem
Recent figures highlight BNB Chain’s dominance, with 39,072 ERC-8004-compliant AI agents operating on its network. This puts it well ahead of competitors, commanding a 39.9 percent share of the total agent count. Trailing in second place is Base, which has deployed about 19,273 agents, amounting to a 19.7 percent market share. Ethereum rounds out the top three, supporting 14,467 agents and holding a 14.8 percent slice of the market.
Despite Ethereum’s reputation as a decentralization pioneer, it has fallen behind BNB Chain and Base in this particular arena. Notably, BNB Chain currently exceeds the combined total users of both Base and Ethereum by approximately 5,300, cementing its leadership position within the ERC-8004 landscape.
Competitive Landscape Beyond the Top Three
Beyond these leading networks, competition within the wider ERC-8004 cohort is markedly fragmented. The “Others” category collectively houses 8,550 agents, representing an 8.8 percent market share. Monad and MegaETH follow closely, registering 8,339 and 8,131 agents respectively—differences measured in just a few hundred agents. The modest disparities between these mid-ranked networks suggest that, in the short term, their prospects of overtaking Base remain limited.
All told, the five largest networks—together with their smaller peers—bring the aggregate ERC-8004 agent total to around 97,832. While the sector is edging toward the significant milestone of 100,000 agents, this threshold has yet to be crossed.
