The Cosmos-based Canto Blockchain, preparing for a transition to the Polygon ecosystem, announced the “Cyclone Stack,” aimed at scaling and enhancing performance. The Cyclone Stack will include upgrades designed to scale and improve the performance of the Blockchain.
What Will Cyclone Stack Bring?
Cyclone Stack is designed to accelerate block times, increase storage access speeds, and set new standards for execution. These include three major upgrades: the Callisto Upgrade, the Kallichore Upgrade, and the Elara Upgrade.
Furthermore, Cyclone Stack is designed to be fully compatible with all EVM tools and applications. This refers to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), supporting the execution of smart contracts by ensuring compatibility of Blockchains like Canto with Ethereum and similar chains.

This news follows Canto’s announcement in September that it will become a Layer-2 by using Polygon‘s Chain Development Kit (CDK). A Canto representative stated that after creating their own Cyclone EVM, they will integrate with Polygon’s CDK and run ZK-provers to ensure network security.
