Catizen (CATI) celebrates its six-month anniversary as one of the most popular Tap-to-Earn (T2E) games on Telegram, highlighting significant milestones and remarkable growth achieved in this short period.
According to a recent announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter), the game reached 34 million players worldwide in just six months. More than 2 million of these players actively use the blockchain version of the game.
Effective Growth and Bot-Free Engagement
In July, Catizen had approximately 25 million active players. Ricky Wong, co-founder of Pluto Studio, emphasized that these numbers do not include bots. Wong stated that the mini app is designed to closely monitor user activities and prevent bots from appearing as real players.
“We can closely monitor the activities of bots and ‘scientists’ in the background. For example, if a user invites 5,000 other users, we can track when these users were invited, the average number of cat merges, the average cat levels, their degree of interaction on the blockchain, and their league rankings. If these 5,000 users are not still active after a few weeks, this data is clearly fake,” he said.
With these figures, Catizen sees itself comparable to the best mobile games worldwide. The platform also announced that it has become the highest-grossing T2E game on Telegram despite being in operation for only six months.
The game has 800,000 paying users, with an average revenue per paying user (ARPPU) of $33. Catizen also reported that its players make up 22.4% of all Telegram Premium subscribers, meaning approximately 2.24 million Telegram paying users are Catizen players.
Phase III Roadmap and Future Goals
In addition to these achievements, Catizen is preparing to complete the Phase III roadmap of its development process this September. After this phase is completed, the game will focus on Phase IV.
Its token, CATI, is scheduled to be launched on September 20th later this month. The digital asset will be tradable on crypto exchanges like Biget and Bybit on the same day.
The game’s motto “Play for Airdrop, Heal the World” resonates with its community, uniquely blending fun with purpose. As the game progresses, the Catizen community can expect continued innovations along with partnerships within the blockchain ecosystem.
Pluto has established a series of partnerships with key companies in the crypto ecosystem, such as Binance Labs, the venture and incubation arm of leading crypto exchange Binance, and HashKey.
Last month, Binance Labs announced that it led the investment round but did not disclose the size of the investment. The company stated that the funds would be used to support the development and growth of Catizen and its ecosystem.
For HashKey, this partnership allows the company to provide regulatory guidance, consultancy, and technical support for blockchain infrastructure operations for Catizen and other products in its network.
Catizen has achieved significant success by reaching a large player base in a short time. The game, which stands out with bot-free user engagement and high revenue rates, aims to continue its growth with future phases and partnerships. With the token launch and new development phases, Catizen plans to offer more innovations and opportunities to its users.
