Coinbase has now announced the listing of 2 altcoins that were added to its listing roadmap. In an effort to increase transparency, Coinbase adds the altcoins it plans to list to its watchlist (listing roadmap) and often shares their official listing announcements. This also minimizes speculative price movements (since the listing news is already expected).
Today’s announcement concerns Aerodrome Finance (AERO) and Velodrome Finance (VELO). Coinbase stated in the announcement;
“Coinbase will add support for Aerodrome Finance (AERO) on the Base network (ERC-20 token) and Velodrome Finance (VELO) on the Optimism network (ERC-20 token). Do not send these assets over other networks, or you may lose your funds.”
If liquidity conditions are met, the listing is expected to take place tomorrow.
