Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US, is currently battling the SEC. However, it has no intention of giving up. While making serious investments in promoting the freedom of cryptocurrencies in the country, the exchange is also looking for ways to increase its earnings. Its latest move could make a splash in the world of altcoins.
Recently, the cryptocurrency exchange diversified its revenue by launching a global exchange similar to Binance. This means that a new alternative to Binance has emerged, where investors from around the world can come and trade. This is significant because the potential of the exchange, which primarily serves US customers, was limited. With the launch of the global version, futures trading has also been activated. Today, as a gesture towards the SEC, Coinbase listed XRP Coin for futures trading.
The listing of XRP and LTC for futures trading on the exchange will contribute to an increase in trading volume. Additionally, it is quite significant that such a step is taken following the relisting of XRP Coin. Due to the decline in the price of the leading cryptocurrency, both XRP and LTC have shown negative performance. The current outlook for BTC price indicates that further decline is possible.
