Dogecoin held near $0.073 on Thursday, standing just above a long-term technical support zone closely watched by traders and analysts. Recent technical studies have drawn attention to a rare confluence of buy signals, though the broader market structure still shows signs of caution after an extended downtrend that began following Dogecoin’s 2021 peak.

Rare TD Sequential signals highlight potential reversal

Crypto market analyst Ali Martinez spotlighted a unique alignment of TD Sequential buy signals across the monthly, weekly, three-day, and daily Dogecoin charts. This pattern—where a complete “9” count appears on multiple timeframes—tends to indicate exhaustion of selling momentum. While not a guarantee of an immediate reversal, such a signal is often viewed by technical traders as a potential catalyst for relief rallies.

The TD Sequential is a technical analysis tool that aims to pinpoint trend exhaustion, especially when a trend has persisted for a prolonged period. The indicator’s rarity across several timeframes at once heightens its significance among market participants.

Martinez outlined possible price scenarios where Dogecoin could retest $0.16 in the medium term and $0.45 over a longer period, provided key support levels remain intact. However, with Dogecoin still operating within a wide corrective structure, these figures are better viewed as technical scenarios rather than firm price targets.

Martinez noted that simultaneous TD Sequential buy signals across multiple timeframes are uncommon and could point to a potential trend reversal around current price levels. Still, long-term confirmation requires substantial price and volume improvement.

At $0.073, Dogecoin continues to hold the major $0.056 support area. Maintaining this zone will be important for any sustained bullish momentum associated with the current technical signals.

Mini dictionary: TD Sequential, a technical indicator developed by Tom DeMark that helps traders anticipate trend exhaustion and potential price reversals. A full “9” count may suggest a market has reached or is nearing an inflection point in its trend.

Technical indicators show mixed signals at current price

Recent technical readings provide a more balanced outlook for Dogecoin. Around $0.07293, CoinMarketCap reported the network’s market capitalization at $11.32 billion with a circulating supply of approximately 155.24 billion DOGE.

The 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands near 47, a level that indicates moderate selling pressure without confirming an oversold signal. Additional indicators, including a Stochastic %K around 63.6 and a Commodity Channel Index (CCI) close to 40, present a neutral or mildly bearish bias. The Average Directional Index (ADX) at 29.8 suggests moderate trend strength, but without clear directional conviction.

Notably, the MACD indicator registered a buy reading near -0.00153, while other measures such as Momentum and Bull Bear Power continue to flag further selling signals. In summary, these indicators suggest stabilization but not yet a decisive shift toward a bullish trend.

Moving averages and resistance zones

Shorter-term moving averages offer support clustered close to Dogecoin’s current price, with the 10-day EMA at $0.07225 and the 10-day SMA at $0.07202. The 20-day EMA and SMA are at $0.07305 and $0.07252, respectively. These levels may offer short-term support, but breaking above longer-term averages remains a significant challenge.

The 30-day EMA stands at $0.07451, and the 50-day EMA is at $0.07804. Both serve as notable resistance levels. The 200-day EMA, much higher at $0.102, reinforces the technical distance Dogecoin must cover before confirming a stronger bullish reversal.

A sustained move through the $0.074-$0.078 region could lend support to a more optimistic price structure. Without such a move, Dogecoin remains at risk of renewed retests of lower support zones.

Accumulation zone and broader structure

A separate technical study used Anchored VWAP, Volume Profile, and cycle analysis to suggest that Dogecoin is currently trading around a historical value area established since its inception.

Anchored VWAP is a tool that tracks volume-adjusted price averages from a specific point, in this case the start of Dogecoin trading, to assess market equilibrium. According to this study, DOGE may be in a long-term accumulation phase. Still, the analysis cautioned that this represents a structural market interpretation—not a price prediction.

The analysis described current Dogecoin levels as historical equilibrium, adding that proximity to these benchmarks may lay the groundwork for a possible accumulation phase, but does not itself confirm a new bullish cycle.

The asset continues to trade beneath its major long-term moving averages, underscoring the need for sustained improvement in both price and on-chain volume before any clear trend emerges.

Key levels: Support and resistance

Dogecoin’s immediate support rests in the $0.070-$0.072 band, overlapping with short-term moving averages. Decisively breaking below this support could lead to further declines.

The main pivot support sits at $0.06042, with the significant long-term level at $0.056, both referenced in recent technical coverage. On the upside, the first resistance cluster stands near $0.074-$0.078, followed by the classic pivot point at $0.08091, then resistance at $0.09246 and $0.11295.

A move through these levels would signal an improved technical picture and potentially open the path toward the $0.16 scenario outlined by Martinez. Until then, Dogecoin’s direction remains uncertain.
