Crypto currency world is buzzing with a hot development. The news concerns Nadeem Anjarwalla, a Binance executive who escaped from detention in Nigeria in March. His whereabouts have now been pinpointed. Nigeria is requesting the extradition of the detained and escaped Binance executive from Kenya. Local media outlets report that Nigerian government officials expect Anjarwalla to be extradited back to the country within the week.
Location of Binance Executive Determined
According to numerous local media reports, Nadeem Anjarwalla, a crypto exchange Binance executive who recently escaped from Nigerian surveillance, has been found in Kenya and faces extradition.
Nigerian authorities have located Anjarwalla in Kenya and are working with Kenyan officials to bring the executive back to the country. The Nigerian newspaper The Punch reported today, citing unnamed government sources, that Anjarwalla could be extradited to Nigeria this week through the international criminal police organization (INTERPOL).
Nigeria Accuses Binance and Its Executives
Nigerian officials accuse the cryptocurrency exchange Binance of manipulating local exchange rates, evading taxes, and laundering money, while Anjarwalla was detained in February along with another Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan.
Anjarwalla, a citizen of both the UK and Kenya, reportedly fled the country in March using a Kenyan passport. Gambaryan, still in Nigeria, denied money laundering charges in court in April.
