Grayscale Investments has officially listed its new Zcash ETF, offering U.S. investors spot exposure to ZEC through a regulated exchange-traded fund on NYSE Arca. The listing follows the conversion of the Grayscale Zcash Trust into the newly launched ZCSH ETF, providing a new way for investors to access the privacy-focused cryptocurrency.
New access point for Zcash exposure
Grayscale Investments, a major digital asset manager known for a range of cryptocurrency funds, stated that ZCSH is the first exchange-traded product in the U.S. to provide direct price tracking of ZEC, the native asset of the Zcash blockchain. The structure allows investors to gain exposure to Zcash price movements through traditional brokerage accounts, eliminating the need to purchase and manage ZEC directly.
According to Grayscale, this product may appeal to institutional and retail investors who face regulatory or practical challenges in holding cryptocurrencies themselves. By trading on NYSE Arca, ZCSH aims to make Zcash investment more accessible within familiar financial channels.
ZCSH ETF launches with major assets, fee revenue supports ecosystem
At launch, ZCSH reported approximately $314 million in assets under management, backed by roughly 387,200 ZEC. The ETF charges a 2.5% management fee. For up to one year, Grayscale said revenue from these fees will be allocated to support initiatives within the Zcash ecosystem, further linking the product to the broader development of Zcash.
The ETF’s sizable initial asset base positions ZCSH as one of the most substantial cryptocurrency funds of its type. Grayscale noted that the underlying trust is designed to reflect ZEC’s spot price, minus operational costs and liabilities.
Grayscale Investments emphasized that ZCSH “offers investors access to ZEC through an ETF structure, lowering barriers for both retail and institutional participants while supporting the Zcash network.”
For traditional investors, the ETF provides a means to gain Zcash exposure with the convenience of listed equities trading. However, ZCSH continues to carry risks linked to ZEC’s price volatility and underlying network performance.
Mini dictionary: Zcash, launched in 2016, is a privacy-oriented blockchain that uses zero-knowledge proofs to enable shielded transactions, allowing selective disclosure of transaction information to maintain user privacy.

Market reaction and ZEC price movement
The launch of Grayscale’s ZCSH ETF comes after a significant surge in ZEC’s price. Market data indicated that ZEC climbed approximately 45% in the days leading up to the ETF’s debut, highlighting strong investor anticipation. Analysts attributed this advance to expectations that the new product would draw additional capital into Zcash.
Demand for ZCSH going forward is expected to depend on its trading liquidity and continued investor interest. Grayscale remains focused on broadening access to digital assets while supporting the ongoing development of privacy-enabled networks.
The firm noted that the ETF’s debut provides “another option for investors seeking regulated access to privacy-focused crypto assets through mainstream financial infrastructure.”
