Cryptocurrencies have emerged as a prime target for cybercriminals over the years, resulting in significant financial losses. Today, another incident has been added to this string of losses. ZachXBT has warned investors after identifying that addresses related to Garden Finance protocol were scammed of 5.5 million dollars. The team is actively working on retrieving the funds.
Details of the Cryptocurrency Hack
The breach uncovered by ZachXBT is substantial, amounting to 5.5 million dollars. The team has reached out to the attacker, requesting the return of the stolen funds and offering a 10% reward for their cooperation. While they have communicated with the perpetrators through an on-chain message, they have not yet released an official public statement. The assets that could be frozen were quickly exchanged by the hackers.
