Hyperliquid’s HYPE token is drawing renewed interest in the market, boosted by a significant round of token buybacks and the influx of capital into exchange-traded fund (ETF) products. Driven by persistent token burns and steady net inflows to ETF vehicles, the HYPE ecosystem is highlighting the tightening connection between protocol-generated fees and tokenomics.
Token burns and protocol revenues rise
According to data shared by Onchain Lens, Hyperliquid purchased and permanently removed 112,580 HYPE tokens from circulation within 24 hours, with the transaction executed at a volume-weighted average price of $90.20. The value of the repurchased tokens totaled roughly $10.15 million.
This recent initiative brings the overall amount of HYPE tokens burnt to nearly 49.25 million, with an estimated aggregate valuation of $4.45 billion according to prevailing prices at the time of the transaction.
Hyperliquid’s ongoing token burn underscores a revenue model linked closely to protocol activity. Onchain Lens reports that the network accumulated approximately $989,000 in protocol fees over the latest 24-hour period, while revenue generated over the past seven days approached $9.85 million.
For the last 30 days, Hyperliquid’s network revenue has reached $52.06 million, signalling robust onchain economic activity that sustains the regular token buyback and burn mechanism.
ETF net inflows fuel market momentum
ETF-linked investment products are also contributing to HYPE’s strong market presence. Hyperliquid Daily recorded $224,740 in combined net inflows to HYPE ETFs as of October 2, pointing to steady institutional and retail demand.
Of these inflows, Grayscale’s HYPG was responsible for $158,090, followed by 21Shares’ THYP with $54,150 and Bitwise’s BHYP at $12,490. The spread of inflows across different providers reflects broadening investor interest in HYPE-backed products.
In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, jumping between different apps for charts, news, and portfolio tracking is costing investors money. Technical formation and analyst insights
The price structure of HYPE has shown signs of improvement following the token’s move back to a critical resistance level. Cryptocurrency analyst Alpha Crypto Signal considers this retracement above the key horizontal range to be an optimistic sign for bullish sentiment in the near term.
The rebound sets the stage for previous resistance to potentially become a significant support level if buying interest remains strong, providing bulls with a crucial advantage and paving the way for another upward phase.
Nonetheless, Alpha Crypto Signal emphasizes that the durability of this bullish setup will depend on whether HYPE can maintain its position above the reclaimed zone. Should the price fall back below this area, the breakout’s validity could be called into question, and a fresh assessment would be necessary.
Sustaining momentum at this technical level will be critical, while inflows into ETF products and protocol revenue will continue to be important indicators for gauging ongoing demand and the potential for further token burns.
Looking ahead, the direction of HYPE will likely be determined by the interplay between ETF interest, network earnings, and the ability to maintain bullish technical support. Regular token burns, supported by protocol revenues, add a dimension of scarcity that remains closely watched by market participants.
