In the latest development, it was suggested that the price of SOL Coin could rise. Alternatively, the Instagram post could be labeled as a “hack case” and deleted, allowing Solana to continue its normal course.
WuBlockchain wrote on their X account:
“It is suspected that McDonald’s official Instagram account was hacked, and a Meme token “GRIMACE” was released on Solana. GRIMACE’s market value rose to $25 million within 30 minutes and then quickly dropped. McDonald’s marketing director Guillaume Huin also shared information about the Meme coin GRIMACE on X. Both posts were deleted.”
An address that made a purchase before the attackers’ post earned 3,372 SOL Coins worth $473,000 in 28 minutes.
