Thanks to the intense interest of Gen Z, these tokens are rapidly spreading in the digital realm. Projects like CHILLGUY are drawing attention from users through the influence of social media.

CHILLGUY, based on the popular Chill Guy meme trending on TikTok, is garnering significant interest. Launched two months ago by Pump Fun, the token has been making headlines due to price surges. Data from DexTools indicates that CHILLGUY’s price increased by 251% in the last 24 hours and saw a staggering 482,270% rise within a week. However, the token’s liquidity stands at only $4.7 million.
CHILLGUY stands out as the seventh major memecoin released by Pump Fun. With a market cap of $374 million, it trails behind other memecoins like PNUT, GOAT, FWOG, and ZEREBRO, all of which are products of a Solana 
$173-based memecoin factory.
Pump Fun’s success in this project relies heavily on social media usage. Platforms like TikTok and Instagram play a crucial role in disseminating the token. Viral videos on TikTok have enabled CHILLGUY to reach a broad audience.
TikTok and Gen Z’s Interest in Memecoins
Suki Yang, founder of the LMAO memecoin platform, emphasizes that TikTok serves as a “idea generator” for memecoins. Yang states, “While Twitter targets the crypto community, TikTok is filled with real users. Here, coins can go viral more quickly.” According to Yang, the young user base on TikTok acts as a driving force behind the growth of memecoins.
Nansen research analyst Nicolai Søndergaard supports this view. He points out that Gen Z’s upbringing amid economic uncertainties has created distrust in the traditional financial system. The youth’s pursuit of quick results is increasing interest in memecoins. “TikTok plays a central role in the spread of memecoins with its large user base,” he states.
The rise of CHILLGUY is a clear indication of social media’s impact on the cryptocurrency market. Platforms like TikTok are expected to become even more influential in making memecoins go viral. The intense interest from Gen Z suggests that memecoin projects will remain strong in the future.
