Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, has been consistently making similar statements about TRX since 2017, drawing the community’s ire. The first major news was a warning from the UK SEC regarding a new altcoin.

BTC price reached a new all-time high of $106,866. Concurrently, the FCA issued a warning about Retardio Coin, similar to a previous alert concerning a meme coin launchpad on the Solana 
$157 network. The announcement stated that Retardio Coin is not officially registered in the region, advising investors to stay away.
Despite the negative announcement, the altcoin’s price experienced a double-digit increase due to shallow liquidity, making it susceptible to speculative movements. At the same time, Justin Sun hinted at a significant upcoming event for TRX.
In 2017, similar announcements were made regarding partnerships with unknown bicycle companies and simple brands. The community is curious about what will come next, but given the prolonged exposure to such antics, they might not take Sun’s claims seriously.
