Pepe (PEPE) and FLOKI (FLOKI) are two digital currencies that have indubitably left a lasting impression this month and today. The pair, among the most prominent names in the Memecoin frenzy, were slated for listing on Binance today. Although the Binance listing was postponed shortly after its announcement, PEPE and FLOKI investors persist in receiving positive news.
The Memecoin Wave Persists
FLOKI swiftly entered Bitfinex, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, following the listing revealed yesterday. The volume surge, particularly due to the Binance listing announcement, generated substantial liquidity for FLOKI on other platforms. PEPE was listed on KuCoin, a favored choice among altcoin investors. The concurrent listing of two memecoins on multiple leading exchanges may signal a new memecoin epoch. PEPE shattered its personal record by exceeding the $1.5 billion mark amid this listing whirlwind.
Binance Hurdle Transitory
While PEPE and FLOKI’s listing on Binance has been deferred indefinitely, Bitfinex and KuCoin listings have undoubtedly brought delight to investors. Although initial Binance news incited panic, the exchange clarified the temporary suspension was due to technical issues. Lastly, Binance warned that PEPE and FLOKI deposits previously made on the platform might be temporarily invisible. The exchange stressed the issue’s impermanent nature.
This development has, in fact, given rise to numerous imitative projects. Within an hour of Binance’s listing announcement, innumerable duplicate altcoins were launched. CrypTourist tweeted a cautionary message, enumerating the perilous projects deployed within that hour:

A similar situation transpired when Dogecoin (DOGE) reached record heights. FLOKI can be considered an altcoin that benefited from DOGE’s fervor but did not experience its true ascent for a specific period.
