Rice Robotics, known for its AI-powered robotic solutions, has announced the launch of its next-generation robot, Minibot M1, in partnership with the popular dog-themed cryptocurrency project Floki. Developed under the Floki brand, Minibot M1 will integrate with the company’s RICE AI platform, aiming to stand out with its AI-supported data-sharing infrastructure.
RICE AI Makes Robots Smarter
Minibot M1 is designed not only to perform tasks but also to learn from its environment. The system allows for data sharing among robots, enabling one robot’s acquired knowledge to be transferred to others. This capability is expected to enhance the efficiency and speed of task completion.
The robot, developed under the Floki brand, is notable for its ability to operate independently. Thanks to the technological foundation provided by Rice Robotics, each robot will function in a decentralized but coordinated manner, increasing the potential for flexible solutions for businesses, institutions, and public spaces.
Expanding Ecosystem with Blockchain and Partnerships
The robotic project is not only technically impressive but also backed by a significant blockchain support. Floki contributes to the digitization of physical assets through its TokenFi sub-project, promoting processes like tokenization. The aim is to make AI-based data marketable, with the RICE AI infrastructure making this digital data market more accessible.
The Floki community continues to be an integral part of this technological progress. Actively involved in both software development and marketing efforts, the community supports the project culturally as well. This participatory model reinforces the belief in decentralization.
Rice Robotics’ initiative extends beyond just Floki. The company collaborates with giants like Softbank, Nvidia, Dubai Future Foundation, NTT Japan, Mitsui Fudosan, and 7-Eleven. The pre-Series A funding round, which raised over $7 million at the beginning of the year, is one of the clearest indicators of this interest.
Prominent financial backers include major investors such as Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund, Soul Capital, and Audacy Ventures. This network of investors aims to ensure the project’s longevity, not only technically but also strategically. The developed products are expected to be effectively positioned in the larger AI robot market.
The Floki team estimates the current size of the AI-powered robot market at $22 billion, projecting it to reach $100 billion by 2030. For Rice Robotics to become a strong player in this market, both technical competence and community support are crucial.
Moreover, the local token FLOKI has also gained attention from investors. The token experienced a 16% price increase in the last 24 hours, reflecting the confidence in the project. With the overall upward trend in the cryptocurrency market, this increase is expected to gain further momentum.
