Ripple Expands Its Reach
Blockchain-based payment infrastructure company Ripple announced that it has received the full Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). With this approval, Ripple can now offer its Ripple Payments services as a licensed entity across European Union countries.
Securing the EMI license from Luxembourg’s financial regulatory agency is a momentous step for Ripple, despite not impacting the price of XRP Coin. It marks a significant milestone for regulated payment service operations in Europe. Ripple is now positioned to offer its cross-border payment products more freely to banks, fintech companies, and businesses within the EU block.
To date, Ripple has acquired a total of 75 different approvals and licenses. The recent licenses obtained in the United Kingdom and the European Union are anticipated to accelerate Ripple’s growth as a regulated crypto and payment service provider worldwide.

Following the acquisition of the EU EMI license and FCA approvals, the growth of RLUSD is also expected to accelerate.
