Growing Institutional Adoption Of Ripple Custody

Ripple reported a substantial rise in the number of financial institutions utilizing its custody service around the world. The technology now underpins digital asset platforms in over 20 jurisdictions, allowing firms to scale operations while maintaining compliance with local regulatory requirements.

Ripple, established in 2012, is known for providing enterprise blockchain solutions and a range of products focused on streamlined cross-border payments and digital asset utility. Its custody platform forms part of a broader ecosystem that integrates cryptocurrencies and stablecoins for institutional use.

Ripple stated that its custody system has enabled clients—including banks and other financial service providers—to boost their digital asset product offerings while operating within regulated frameworks globally.

The platform is equipped with tools for asset storage, governance, and transaction workflows, allowing organizations to manage everything within a unified infrastructure. This approach limits operational fragmentation and enhances the consistency of back-end processes across different markets.

Ripple’s solution is structured to meet diverse compliance demands in each region, supporting seamless cross-border activity and facilitating the expansion of digital asset services internationally.

XRP And RLUSD Facilitate Operations Within Ripple Custody

Institutions utilizing Ripple Custody have integrated both XRP and RLUSD—Ripple’s native cryptocurrency and stablecoin—into their transaction and settlement operations. Both digital assets are now central components within the custody framework.

According to the 2026 report, firms employ XRP for settlement and rapid movement of value, while RLUSD is applied for stable pricing and transactional consistency throughout digital workflows. The inclusion of these assets is intended to improve liquidity management and operational reliability.

The integration of XRP and RLUSD also streamlines management of tokenized assets and aims to deliver faster settlement as well as reduced administrative overhead. These characteristics are positioned as key factors in supporting a variety of advanced financial activities.

DZ Bank Demonstrates Accelerated Deployment

DZ Bank, a major German financial institution, implemented Ripple Custody to provide crypto securities custody to its clients, achieving this in less than 10 months. With roots as a central bank for cooperative banks and as a key player in the European financial landscape, DZ Bank leveraged the platform to build compliant infrastructure for digital asset operations.

Ripple highlighted that DZ Bank launched a regulated digital asset custody service in under 10 months using its system, demonstrating the potential for rapid and efficient platform deployment among financial institutions.

The example of DZ Bank reflects a broader trend of banks moving toward adopting regulated digital asset ecosystems and showcases how custody infrastructure can be integrated swiftly within legacy systems.

Unified Governance And Efficiency For Global Institutions

Ripple Custody is designed to unify multiple digital asset custody systems for global financial groups. A single management and orchestration layer connects operations across markets, streamlining asset control and administrative procedures.

Ripple emphasized that its custody technology enables global systemically important banks to combine asset oversight, governance, and operational functions across multiple jurisdictions, supporting higher security and compliance standards.

The platform is intended to reduce reliance on fragmented regional solutions, providing enhanced transparency, security, and efficiency for institutions conducting cross-border business. This setup aims to simplify regulatory reporting and consolidate internal risk controls.
