Today, the world of cryptocurrency is buzzing with significant developments. Fluctuations in Bitcoin’s price, reaching swings of up to $5,000, have been justified by various factors. In the last few hours, two critical events occurred, including Ivanka Trump’s statements and Senator Lummis’s announcements.
Lummis and Cryptocurrency
Senator Lummis, who gained prominence last year with the Strategic Bitcoin 
$91,967 Reserve, is now in a stronger position. Elected as chair of the subcommittee on digital assets, he is among the most crypto-friendly politicians surrounding Trump. Even more crucially, he has already taken on a role that allows him to fulfill his promises.
Today, Lummis outlined three main goals for the subcommittee. If he succeeds in persuading the dominant Republicans in the Senate and House, the U.S. could even establish a Bitcoin Reserve within a few years. The Senate Banking digital asset subcommittee aims to:
- Pass legislation promoting responsible innovation and consumer protection.
- Eliminate Operation Chokepoint 2.0.
- Make America the global capital of Bitcoin and digital assets.
In response to Operation Chokepoint 2.0, the new SEC administration has initiated the Crypto 2.0 operation. This move aims to establish clear regulatory rules concerning cryptocurrencies, led by Hester Peirce, known as “Crypto Mom,” a prominent supporter of the crypto space.
Ivanka Coin
After the launch of Trump and his wife’s meme coin, speculation arose about whether their children would also release a meme coin. Some investors, eager to gain significant profits from early purchases, have even created trading bots to track wallets that acquired the other two meme coins early on.
The Ivanka Coin was introduced, but none of these are authentic. Ivanka Trump recently stated:
“I have noticed that a fake cryptocurrency called Ivanka Trump Coin or ‘$IVANKA’ is being promoted without my permission or approval.
To be clear: I have no involvement with this coin. This fake coin poses a risk of deceiving consumers and defrauding their hard-earned money, and the unauthorized use of my name and image is an infringement of my rights.
This campaign is misleading, exploitative, and unacceptable. My legal team is examining necessary measures to stop the continued misuse of my name.”
