Shibarium Layer-2 continues to generate excitement. After breaking records in testnet transactions, the team has made another important announcement. The Shiba Inu marketing specialist announced on Twitter that the Shib Hackathon has begun. According to the announcement, successful experts will be rewarded with the BONE meme token.
The Shib Hackathon focuses on topics such as healthcare services, DeFi, and fast financial transactions. Tech enthusiasts, dApp developers, and designers have been invited to the event. While designers are promised an inspiring activity, the aim is for ambitious and powerful projects to emerge. Participants are encouraged to build anything they want but ultimately come up with something completely original and new.
Hackathon to Last for Months in Toronto
This Shibarium Hackathon does not appear to be the only event that the SHIB team plans to launch this year. As mentioned in the latest blog post by Shiba Inu’s main developer, known by the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama, the Shibarium team will organize a hackathon event that will last for months during the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto, Canada.
SHIB developers will showcase SHIB branded projects and products, including the SHIB Metaverse smartphone game, Shiba Eternity, and the Shiba Inu real-life-component (RLC), at the hackathon.
Shiba Inu Layer-2 is Coming
As a sponsor of the Toronto Blockchain Conference (which will include ETH Toronto and ETH Women events, dedicated to Ethereum), SHIB will gain visibility. This sponsorship will elevate SHIB to a new level of awareness and increase its scale compared to major crypto exchanges that frequently sponsor such events. Additionally, Shytoshi Kusama will give a speech in front of a virtual community using the power of artificial intelligence for the first time.
According to a recent tweet by Lucie, the marketing specialist of the Shiba Inu team, the hackathon will begin on August 16. It is expected that the SHIB team will discuss in detail and possibly launch the Shibarium Layer-2 mainnet during the Blockchain Futurist Conference.
