SUI slipped 1.40% to $0.730 in the past 24 hours, underperforming a largely unchanged cryptocurrency market. The decline underscored a broader shift away from lagging Layer 1 tokens, with Ethereum and Solana both gaining while SUI struggled, exposing differences among major blockchain networks.
SUI price prediction: Key technical levels in focus
Technical analysts identified the $0.71 to $0.73 range as a critical support zone for SUI. This level now serves as the primary battleground for buyers looking to halt the current pullback. A hold above this area could open the door to a recovery toward $0.84 or $0.85. Failure, however, could trigger a move down to the $0.62 to $0.63 base, a multi-year support area.
Bitguru marked $0.70 as immediate support in his latest SUI outlook, putting initial recovery targets at $0.85 and $0.92. He emphasized that a sustained defense at the lower boundary is essential for any bullish scenario.
Traders now watch whether SUI buyers can hold $0.70 as support and drive a rebound toward the $0.85 and $0.92 targets, or risk testing the multi-year floor of $0.62 to $0.63 if selling pressure continues.
Ali Martinez highlighted the same region, stating he would consider re-entering SUI positions only if the token stays above the $0.71 channel floor. He mapped the upside channel ceiling at $0.84, closely aligning with Bitguru’s projection.
A successful rebound requires SUI to reclaim $0.73 and hold above recent supply, before testing the 200-day moving average near $0.85. Decisive rejection at this level could leave the price trapped between support and resistance, while a close below $0.71 would weaken Martinez’s setup and move targets toward the multi-year base.
Michaël van de Poppe identified weekly and three-day bullish divergences on both RSI and MACD across SUI’s dollar and Bitcoin pairs. Despite persistent price weakness, these signals show improving momentum. However, analysts noted that further confirmation from price action is still needed to validate a sustained reversal in trend.
Van de Poppe also noted that SUI remains about 85% below its previous high, highlighting the broader scale of its correction and explaining the market’s cautious approach regarding any potential recovery.
On-chain data: Stablecoin expansion and token unlocks
On-chain indicators continue to deliver mixed signals for SUI. Stablecoin holdings on the Sui Network have grown, signaling higher dollar-linked liquidity. However, total value locked in Sui’s DeFi protocols has dropped sharply, reflecting a disconnect between available cash and actual capital committed within the ecosystem.
Ongoing token unlocks further complicate SUI’s outlook, increasing the number of coins circulating on the market. This consistent supply expansion can put downward pressure on price, especially during periods of reduced spot demand and weaker technical structure.
Despite these challenges, Sui Network developers have introduced new features supporting the token’s long-term ecosystem. Recent updates include the integration of autonomous wallets on WaaPxyz and Cetus Protocol, designed for AI agents that manage tokens and liquidity positions automatically.
Meanwhile, XStableAI announced a plan to bring precious metals and foreign exchange markets to Sui, as part of an effort to build AI-driven infrastructure for tokenized gold and FX trading. The announcement did not include data on user adoption or transaction volume.
Stablecoin balances are rising on Sui Network, but a sharp drop in total value locked signals that additional liquidity has not driven broader DeFi deposits within the network ecosystem.
To offset new circulating supply, the Sui Foundation reportedly bought back approximately 600,000 SUI through open market operations, though unlocks continue to add to overall supply.
Several traders caution that in a market where a single Federal Reserve announcement or an unexpected altcoin listing can dramatically move prices within seconds, having to switch across multiple apps to track charts, news, and portfolios can lead to missed opportunities. Many now turn to privacy-focused platforms like CryptoAppsy, which consolidate real-time charts, price alerts, and macro data on a single screen without requiring users to create accounts.
The battle between rising stablecoin liquidity, declining total value locked, and new token unlocks continues to drive SUI’s near-term outlook as investors monitor whether support at $0.71 will hold or give way to a deeper correction.
