Introduction of the New SEC Chair
Paul, who has close ties to cryptocurrencies, will become the new SEC Chair after Gensler resigns on January 20. In today’s announcement, Trump stated:
“I am pleased to announce the nomination of Paul Atkins as the next Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.”
Paul has proven himself to be a leader regarding sensible regulations. Paul is the CEO and Founder of Patomak Global Partners, a risk management consulting firm. Serving as a former SEC Commissioner from 2002 to 2008, Paul has strongly advocated for transparency and investor protection. He holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and a B.A. from Wofford College.”
