The recent disclosure of former U.S. President and candidate Donald Trump’s crypto assets has drawn significant attention, revealing his substantial investment in the crypto space. A new filing dated August 15 with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, shared by Citizens for Ethics, revealed that Trump holds a crypto portfolio valued between $1 million and $5 million, primarily in Ethereum (ETH). This aligns with Trump’s statements about valuing cryptocurrencies more if he becomes president again.
Trump’s Cryptocurrencies
According to the disclosures, Donald Trump holds cryptocurrencies valued between $1 million and $5 million. Data provided by blockchain analysis firm Arkham Intelligence revealed that the total value of Trump’s crypto assets is $3.4 million.
The disclosed data shows that Trump’s primary investment is in Ethereum, with $1.29 million of his holdings consisting of 492.72 Ethereum.
In addition to Ethereum, Trump also holds 377,465 Wrapped Ethereum (WETH) valued at approximately $989,500. Wrapped Ethereum is notable in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, aligning with the broader DeFi movement by providing utility across different blockchain platforms.
What Else Does Trump Hold Besides Ethereum?
Additionally, Trump holds $136,290 in the stablecoin USDC. This part of his portfolio, considered less risky, indicates a strategy aimed at preserving liquidity and reducing volatility, balancing the risks and stability in his crypto investments.
Besides the mentioned cryptocurrencies, Trump’s portfolio also includes Trump-themed tokens such as MAGA Again (MAGAA), Fight to MAGA (FIGHT), MAGA VP (MVP), and BabyTrump.
Despite being Trump-themed, there is no declaration or document indicating a direct relationship with the former president. It is unclear whether these tokens were purchased by Trump or sent by another address, making it uncertain if these coins are direct investments by Trump.
Considering past instances where coins were sent to known wallets for advertising and later involved in scams, it is advisable for investors to carefully evaluate and scrutinize the coins in Trump’s wallet before making any purchase decisions.
