One of South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Upbit, announced the addition of the BIGTIME/KRW trading pair to its platform. The listing is scheduled for today at 12:00 PM KST, and following the listing, Big Time’s mainnet asset, the BIGTIME token, will start trading in the South Korean won (KRW) market.
Listing Will Have Various Trading Restrictions
Upbit will implement trading restrictions during the initial trading period to prevent market imbalances for BIGTIME. Additionally, buy orders will be restricted for the first five minutes after trading begins. There will also be a restriction on sell orders priced more than 10% below the previous day’s closing price in the BTC market. Market orders and limit orders will be restricted for the first hour after trading starts.
To encourage early adoption, Upbit offered a limited-time promotion allowing users to withdraw their BIGTIME tokens without any fees for approximately 24 hours following the announcement. Standard withdrawal fees will apply after this period. Upbit advised users to verify the applicable withdrawal fees displayed during the withdrawal process due to potential delays in fee adjustments.
Users must carefully check network compatibility before depositing, as deposits made through unsupported networks will not be processed. The only supported network for BIGTIME deposits on Upbit is Ethereum, and deposits made through other networks will not be accepted.
Following Upbit’s listing announcement, BIGTIME’s price surged significantly. The altcoin’s price increased by over 35%, reaching $0.08849.
