Top Gaining Altcoins of the Week
Ethena (ENA), displaying a trend that any crypto investor would welcome, became the week’s top gainer. The chart showed ENA starting the week around $0.6 and rapidly climbing above $0.8 on April 2nd. Notably, the accompanying volume increase to over $2 billion was significant for this altcoin. By the weekend, the price had risen to $1.17, a substantial increase of approximately 70%, propelling Ethena to the top gainer of the week title. With a market value of $922 million, it also ranked highest in market value among the top three gainers.
Core (CORE) exhibited a mixed performance throughout the week. It started strong but ended on a weaker note. The token began the week at $2.5 and steadily rose above $3.6 by the end of the first day. It climbed above $4 before experiencing a drop. Despite the volatility, CORE achieved an impressive increase of over 62% within seven days, securing the second-highest gain of the week. At the time of writing, its market value was around $2.3 billion.
Conflux Sees a 24% Decline
Pendle (PENDLE) solidified its position as the third highest gainer of the week. Pendle experienced significant increases between April 4th and 6th. Between April 4th and 5th, PENDLE rose from around $4.9 to over $6.4. It witnessed another notable rise, reaching a peak above $7 and securing a weekly gain of over 35.5%. At the time of writing, it was trading around $6.5 with a market value exceeding $1.5 billion.
On the other hand, Conflux was at the top of the list of losers last week with a significant loss of over 24%. Data indicates that CFX started the week around $0.4 but fell to $0.36 by the weekend. The cryptocurrency not only showed a price decline but also a continuous drop in volume. The volume was over $74 million at the beginning of the week and at one point exceeded $300 million. However, at the time of writing, the volume had dropped to approximately $35 million. CFX is currently trading at around $0.36.
