Worldcoin (WLD), now rebranded as World, has introduced several new features according to co-founder Alex Blania. Blania emphasized that these innovations aim to provide individuals with identity, financial infrastructure, and community. The platform aspires to offer a more accessible identity verification system through its global expansion.
Faster and Transparent Orb Design
One of the most significant innovations highlighted by Blania is the new design of the flagship product, the Orb. This revamped Orb boasts increased speed and transparency, which will expedite the identity verification process. Additionally, everyone will now have the opportunity to purchase an Orb device and become an operator, allowing the devices to reach broader audiences worldwide.
A new product named Deep Face, built on the capabilities of the Orb, has also been introduced. Deep Face specifically targets fraud prevention, focusing on detecting fake identities and image manipulation.
World ID 3.0 and Anonymous Identity Verification
World ID 3.0 emerges as another vital innovation within the system. It provides unique anonymity controls through Anonymous Multi-Party Computation (AMPC). This technology enhances security by preserving user privacy during the identity verification process, while also offering specialized identification support for government verifications, allowing safe identity confirmations with government entities.
Moreover, the user interface of the application has been entirely revamped with World App 3.0. Now boasting 15 million active users, the application allows developers to create mini-applications for increased interaction.
Blania also announced the launch of a new layer based on Ethereum $2,915, known as World Chain Mainnet. This network prioritizes verified human transactions to enhance scalability and is designed to accelerate human-centered financial operations.
