According to a news article by Financial Times on August 1st, Meta is planning to release artificial intelligence chat robots similar to ChatGPT.
Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem is Expanding
The release of the artificial intelligence chat robot ChatGPT by Open AI has led to a renewed popularity of AI projects worldwide, thanks to its rapid acquisition of a large user base. However, along with the popularity of ChatGPT, there has been a lot of criticism and public debate about the company’s collection of large amounts of user data.
However, following the widespread use of ChatGPT, many technology companies, including Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, have intensified their efforts in this field and significantly increased their investments in artificial intelligence. Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, has also recently joined this ecosystem with a new project. Musk announced on July 12th that he has launched a new artificial intelligence project called “xAI”.

Although there is no official statement or announcement to the public regarding this matter yet, the news article by Financial Times suggests that the artificial intelligence chat robots that Meta is preparing to release will be called “personas” and will have different characters. However, despite numerous similar reports in the media, neither Meta nor Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has made an official statement about this topic.
