Binance has expanded its derivatives portfolio significantly in 2026, introducing 227 new futures pairs since the start of the year. Market analyst Maartunn noted that this figure brings Binance close to its previous annual record of 235 new futures pairs set in 2025, with two months still remaining in the year.
Expansion in Derivatives and TradFi Integration
If Binance continues at its current pace, the total number of new futures pairs listed this year may equal or surpass last year’s record. However, Maartunn pointed out a notable shift in the composition of the exchange’s offerings. Approximately 70% of the futures pairs listed in 2026 are now tied to traditional finance (TradFi) assets, including stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), commodities, and foreign exchange products, rather than cryptocurrencies alone.
Recent additions from Binance include perpetual contracts for iShares MSCI Indonesia ETF (EIDO), EQT Corporation (EQT), STMicroelectronics NV (STM), and AbbVie Inc. (ABBV). These TradFi-related futures contracts have given users an expanded choice of trading products and greater exposure to global financial markets.
Binance’s growing list of TradFi futures pairs allows users to diversify their portfolios, while the introduction of new contracts like EIDO, EQT, STM, and ABBV reflects its effort to bridge traditional and digital asset markets.
Such diversification is part of Binance’s broader strategy to deepen its derivatives lineup and appeal to traders seeking a wider range of market options. In an environment where a single Fed decision or an unexpected altcoin listing can cause abrupt market movements, efficient and integrated tools are becoming essential for investors. Smart traders now leverage privacy-centric platforms like CryptoAppsy to manage their activities. These platforms provide real-time charts, tailored price alerts, project-specific news, and key macroeconomic updates all in one place, without requiring an account, helping users react swiftly as market conditions evolve.
Delisting of Spot and Margin Trading Pairs
Despite this expansion in derivatives, Binance continues to maintain a careful approach to its spot and margin trading offerings. The exchange conducts regular evaluations of its listed spot pairs and may remove specific assets due to considerations such as reduced liquidity or low trading activity.
As a result of its latest review, Binance plans to delist 12 spot trading pairs on October 30, 2026 at 03:00 (UTC). The affected pairs include: AAVE/BTC, ATOM/BTC, CAKE/BTC, DASH/BTC, ETC/BTC, ICP/BTC, PENDLE/BTC, RENDER/BTC, TAO/BTC, THETA/BTC, XAUT/BTC, and XTZ/BTC.
Binance periodically reviews all listed spot trading pairs and may delist those with insufficient liquidity or trading volume to uphold a robust trading marketplace.
In addition, Binance Margin will remove several cross margin pairs on October 30, 2026 at 06:00 (UTC). The pairs to be delisted include RE/USD1, 币安人生/U, KAT/U, BTC/USDS, ETH/USDS, AVNT/U, FET/U, TRUMP/U, APT/U, and WLFI/U.
Positions in these cross margin pairs will be closed and settled automatically on October 26, 2026 at 06:00 (UTC), and all open orders will be canceled before the pairs are fully removed from Binance Margin.
