Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced its support for the upcoming network upgrades and hard forks for Optimism (OP) and Arbitrum (ARB), aiming to provide the best user experience by facilitating a seamless transition for its users.
Binance Declares Support for Optimism and Arbitrum
The prominent crypto exchange Binance has announced its support for the network upgrade and hard fork of Optimism. The Optimism network upgrade is expected to take place at block height 1,710,374,401, or approximately on March 14, 2024, at 03:00 AM local time. To ensure a smooth transition for users, Binance will temporarily suspend deposit and withdrawal services for tokens on the Optimism network starting from 02:00 AM on March 13, 2024.
Similarly, Binance has also announced its support for the network upgrade and hard fork of Arbitrum. The Arbitrum network upgrade and hard fork are scheduled to occur around 12:00 PM local time on March 14, 2024. Binance will suspend deposit and withdrawal services for tokens on the Arbitrum network starting approximately at 11:00 AM on the same date.
As mentioned, while deposit and withdrawal services will be temporarily suspended for both networks, the trading of tokens on Optimism and Arbitrum networks will continue without interruption during this period. Binance assures its users that all technical requirements related to the network upgrade and hard fork will be met and a smooth transition process will be provided.
Deposit and Withdrawal Services to Resume
On the other hand, once the upgraded networks stabilize, Binance will resume deposit and withdrawal services for tokens on the Optimism and Arbitrum networks.
Following the network upgrades and hard fork, Binance will confirm the stability of the upgraded networks and will restart deposit and withdrawal services without further announcement.
