Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, announced the removal of ten trading pairs and six tokens from its platform this August.
Four spot trading pairs set for removal
Binance stated that it will delist four spot trading pairs: QNT/BTC, RPL/USDC, SIGN/BNB, and SKL/USDC. Trading for these pairs will cease on August 7 at 03:00 UTC.
The exchange explained that regular reviews of trading pairs are conducted to ensure a quality trading environment. Criteria in these reviews include liquidity and trading volume. Binance reported that pairs with weak trading activity may be removed to protect users and maintain market standards.
Binance explained that pairs may be removed if they fail to meet its liquidity or volume standards, stating that these steps are necessary to protect users and maintain a high-quality market environment.
In connection with these removals, Binance announced that its Spot Trading Bots service for the affected pairs will also end at the same date and time. The company urged users who utilize trading bots on these pairs to adjust their settings or cancel their bots ahead of the delisting date to avoid potential losses.
Additionally, Binance Spot Copy Trading will delist these trading pairs on August 10 at 03:00 UTC.
Six tokens to be fully removed
Binance will proceed to delist all spot trading pairs for six cryptocurrencies later in the month: Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX (PIVX), Vulcan Forged PYR (PYR), Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC). Trading of these tokens will end on August 17 at 03:00 UTC.
Users will not be able to deposit ACX, HFT, PIVX, PYR, VANRY, and VIC on Binance after August 18 at 03:00 UTC. Withdrawals of these tokens will be supported until October 17 at 03:00 UTC. After this period, token withdrawals will be disabled.
Binance also clarified that it will remove Vanar (VANRY) due to its decision not to support the token’s upcoming contract swap.
