Other top altcoins like Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), and Cardano (ADA) also recorded notable gains. As of Monday, May 6, Bitcoin’s price reached $64,132.50, marking a 1.17% increase, though its trading volume fell by 12.18% to $17.67 billion in the last 24 hours, while its market cap rose to $1.26 trillion.
The leading smart contract platform Ethereum saw a 1.73% increase to $3,148.06, with its market cap reaching $374.01 billion. ETH’s trading volume decreased by 3.24% to $8.28 billion. Ethereum’s competitor Solana significantly recovered, approaching the $150 level with a 1.58% increase to $147.81, although SOL’s trading volume decreased by 53.70% to $1.51 billion in the last 24 hours.
Price Movements in Altcoins
Meanwhile, the XRP price surpassed the $0.53 mark, recording a 1.16% increase to $0.5339. XRP’s trading volume rose by 19.07% to $540.58 million. Cardano’s price today increased by 0.64% to $0.4588, though its 24-hour trading volume fell by 13.99% to $222.55 million. Dogecoin’s price rose by 1.77% to $0.1626, while its competitor Shiba Inu traded at $0.00002479, up by 1.22%.
Ultimately, alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum, other cryptocurrencies are also on the rise. Bitcoin surpassed $64,000 with a 1.17% increase. Ethereum held tightly at the $3,100 level. Altcoins like Solana, Ripple, and Cardano achieved significant gains. Solana approached $150 with a 1.58% increase but saw a drop in trading volume. Other altcoins also showed price increases.
